2011 Citroen C4 Picasso and Grand Picasso facelifts

First pistures of 2011 Citroën Picasso have been released and waiting to be officilally presented at the Paris Motor Show (2-17 October). The two medium MPV of the French have been slightly adjusted to align with the latest products in the aesthetic of the brand and above all have adopted the new diesel e-HDi, equipped with a start & stop that is particularly interesting and effective. The two French MPV adopts, first of all,  the new logo Citroen characterized by the traditional “Double Chevron” now revised, which is either on the front and tailgate, on wheel’s hubcaps, on the steering wheel center and on the remote opening control. Other news also cover engines range – The C4 Picasso is an MPV of great commercial success: in total, two models have in fact sold 650,000 units since launch. The technology combines e-HDi Start & Stop system and second-generation manual transmission to a micro-hybrid engine 1.6 HDi FAP 110 Hp. The transmission is only manula driven CMP-6. In this way, consumption is reduced to 4.8 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions to 125 grams per kilometer. At first level of the micro-hybrid system is the second generation Start & Stop based on a reversible alternator that deliver 2.2 kW (3 hp), has integrated electronics and restarts the engine through a belt in just 400 ms. Another key element behind the micro-hybrid system is the e-booster, assisting the electricity network on board during engine starting. For the two C4 Picasso is also new the package Citroën e-Touch: offers a range of services, 24 hours on 24 emergency call, localized support, virtual maintenance booklet,  EcoDriving service.
