2011 Mazda MX-5 Record Series special edition for guinness book

The best-selling convertible (two-seat) in the world reaches 900,000 units sold in two decades. To celebrate this important milestone, the Japanese carmaker has launched two special edition of Mazda MX-5 Record Series. The Mazda MX-5 Record Series features two engine’s size. 1.8 to 126 hp for the European market and the 2.0 160 hp exclusively for the Italian market and the presentation was attended by some players of the Italian football team AC Fiorentina which Mazda will sponsor next season.

MAZDA MX-5 1.8 126 HP: the European version of the engine stands out for the small black livery called Sparking Black, fog lights, twin exhaust, 17 “wheels, and external chrome details for the Roadster Coupe. The interior shows also rich details as light skin for steering wheel and hand brake lever, the sill door, chrome frames for the instruments while pedals comes with aluminum. Among standard optional provided, the automatic climate control, cruise control and Bluetooth connection.

MAZDA MX-5 2.0 160 PS: this is the version of Record Series reserved for the Italian market and features the Chrystal White Pearl body with the 2.0 liter engine by 160 hp. Compared with the 1.8 stands out xenon headlights, Recaro sport seats with black leather, the Bose audio system, the limited slip differential, strut bar, Bilstein sport shocks and tire pressure sensor
