The tuner Brabus has presented his interpretation of the Mercedes CLS, recently renewed by the German carmaker. In recent days, the company from Bottrop has revealed the revised Mercedes-Benz at the Geneva Motor Show.
AERODYNAMIC AND AESTHETIC: changes have involved the design, always in Brabus-style for the look but also the aerodynamic. Mercedes CLS by Brabus includes a new front bumper with LED lights built into the air intakes under the headlights, while the side host bigger skirts and wheel arches. The back shows the third stop light between the two tailpipes made of stainless steel. The 20-inch alloy wheels comes with six designs, paired to front 255/30 tires and 305/25 at the rear. Suspensions, lowered by 30 mm, are built in cooperation with Bilstein while versions with Airmatic suspensions reach to 35 mm, then you can order a set of them fully adjustable.
ENGINE: CLS Brabus versions are two: the 250 CDI and 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY, whose power increase, respectively, 31 and 48 hp. Mechanical and electronic tuning uses essentially, the kit processing plug-and-play for the ECU’s engine unit. The CLS 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY gets the Brabus Eco PowerXtra D4, which increases the power of the 2.1-liter 235 hp (204 standard) and 560 Nm of torque. The Eco PowerXtra D6s features the CLS 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY 3-liter V6 and 265 hp kit, in “Eco” mode increases top torque from 620 Nm to 690, and in Sport mode delivers 48 hp more than the production model, allowing the car to get 313 hp. With this configuration, the 350 CDI gets to 100 km/h from a standing start in 5.9 seconds (3/10 less than the standard CDI). Top speed is 250 km/h.
