Seat IBX Concept predicts future crossover

The concept Seat IBX, as the concept Seat IBE, shows the new styling of the Volkswagen Group and anticipates a design that will affect all the Seat models in the coming years. But apart from that, new Seat IBX has technical features as eco-electric-hybrid that could soon be used by Seat for future cars and especially promises the arrival of a crossover. The Spanish brand is the only one of Volkswagen group to not have this type of car in its range, as Audi is preparing the Q3,  the Volkswagen restyles the Tiguan, Porsche is planning to sell the Cajun and Skoda sells Yeti.

Seat IBX is 4.26 meters long, less than the “German Cousin” Volkswagen Tiguan, and equal in other measures: 1.80 meters high and 1.62 wide. The sporty design stands by sharp lines and elaborate lights with LED technology. “This new design will have a deep impact on all our future vehicles” said the head of design Luc Donckerwolke. The chosen configuration for the concept car is the three-door, while under the hood is a hybrid system to be used in purely electric mode for 45 Km. Drive is front, but Seat does not exclude that production model might also propose the four-wheel drive.
