During the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, held last month, the German tuner Brabus brought the 2012 Brabus Rocket 800, based on the Mercedes-Benz CLS. Over years, Brabus has brought the world’s fastest street-legal sedans, such as the Brabus Rocket back in 2006 and the Brabus SV12R of 2009.The Brabus Rocket 800, a fast monster that redefines the interpretation of speed in a luxury vehicle, is skilled of reaching speeds of 370 Km/h.

Helping achieve such a speeds, the new Brabus Rocket 800 is driven by a 12-cylinder high-efficient engine that has been modified to deliver nearly 800 hp (788) from which come the name Rocket 800. For the Rocket 800, the V12 on the CLS gets capacity increase from 5.5 to 6.3 liters with a peak torque of 1,420 Nm available from a low 2,100 rpm, but is limited electronically in the car to 1,100 Nm. Transmission is the 7-speed AMG Speedshift MCT which permits the Brabus Rocket 800 to start from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 370 km/h (but for street use is limited to 350 km/h), the German tuner claimed even a step from 0 to 200 Km/h in 9.8 seconds and from 0 to 300 Km/h in 23.8.

To cope with the added performance, the Brabus Rocket 800 received countless exterior improvements that included, in addition to other aerodynamic updates, larger sized wheel arches, large air intakes, a rear wing and a rear diffuser.The four wheels are the lightweight Brabus Monoblock F Platinum Edition. Inside the Brabus Rocket gets an ultra-luscious finish and all-leather grey interior combined with high-gloss-polished black piano wood. To contribute a more comfortable driving experience is the anatomically processed Bra bus sport steering wheel with aluminum shift paddles, pedals and foot rest.
