Audi S6 with the new V8 engine.
The German car manufacturer has introduced the new 2012 Audi S6 and S6 Avant models ahead of their world debut at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show this month. The Audi S6 is powered by new engine 4.0-liter, V8 double turbocharged, and Audi stated that new engine offers greater performance while minimizing emissions and enhancing fuel economy.

Both S6 models, as well as the S7 and S8, are powered by Audi’s new double-turbocharged, direct-injected 4.0-liter V-8, which produces 420 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque at just 1.400 rpm. These numbers means rather less horsepower and a a bit more torque than the previous Audi S6 engine, a downgraded Lamborghini 5.2-liter V10 with 435 horsepower and 539 Nm.The Audi S6 features a dual-clutch transmission with seven speed, which can be selected personally via aluminum paddle shifters.
