Long awaited Ford Focus ST features more power.
2011 Frankfurt motor show unveils the 2012 Ford Focus ST production car, after a long wait for a performance variant of the existing Focus. Horsepower is available from a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ecoboost turbocharged petrol engine which is a substitute of the current 2.5-litre T5. Even with less displacement, the new motor states 246hp which are 24 more than the old Focus ST, while the torque claims 360 Nm. Focus ST exterior design benefits from a relatively subtle body kit, while the interior receives various sporty details and Recaro branded new sports seats. The specific design of alloy wheels will comes with 235/40 R18 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.

The Focus St, both a five-door hatchback and a five-door wagon comes with the smaller engine that is also far greener than the old Turbocharged 5, with CO2 emissions improved by more than 20 percent. The Ford Focus ST offers a ‘five-plus-one’ gearbox, with sixth gear for economy. Unlike the previous Focus ST, the new vehicle is a world model, with the five-door hatchback set to be marketed in America and some parts of Asia as well as Europe. The focus ST Wagon version has been developed exclusively for Europe.
Focus St 10mm lower than before.
All the new Focus ST are going to have a sport steering strategy with a variable ratio steering rack and a torque steer compensation device. The ESP system includes a partially deactivated wide slip mode, with the further option to entirely deactivate the Focus ST stability control. 2012 Ford Focus ST stays 10mm lower than the standard version and the Focus ST wagon will have angled rear suspension to holdthe size of the boot.The Focus ST will be offered in Europe in three
specs levels, ST1, ST2 and ST3. Prices and final specifications will be revealed closer later this year with the Focus ST on the market.
