The new 2012 Focus is ready to debut with the more global model of the American brand history, from next month will be sold in 150 countries around the world. Ford has released prices of the new Focus 5-door: on average in Europe you have to pay € 17,000 for the Focus 1.6 105 hp up to 19,500 € for the Focus 1.6 150 hp EcoBoost and Focus 1.6 TDCI 115 hp DPF. For the intermediate engine petrol 1.6 125 hp have to pay € 18,000. Powershift automatic transmission is available only on Future Focus 2.0 TDCI with extra € 1,400.
GOLF ANTHAGONIST: ambitions of the American carmaker are important for this Focus because this is the ultimate expression of Ford’s new strategy that aims to undermine the leadership of the Volkswagen Group in the European C-segment. In fact, the American group is able to produce 2 million of vehicles per year among Focus 5 door, Wagon, C-Max, C-Max7 and upcoming Focus ST, electrical and Vertrek.
Standard safety accessories are adequate to the type of vehicle and includes: ABS, front and rear curtain airbags, front and side airbags, electronic stability control and emergency braking assistance. Also standard manual climate control, stop & start (only for 1.6 TDCi and EcoBoost) and dynamic traction control on curves.
PACKS EQUIPMENT: all versions are planned to come with standard six airbags, ESP with traction control, manual air conditioning, trip computer, CD radio, leather steering wheel, electric mirrors and leather steering wheel. TITANIUM pack (1,400 €) offers the tail lights and interior LED, dual-zone automatic climate control, speed limiter, 16″ alloy wheels, fog lights, hill start assistance, self-igniting lights and wipers. TITANIUM PACK (740 €) favors the aesthetic with 17-inch wheels and tinted windows. NAVIGATION SYSTEM pack (730 €) offers the navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. DRIVER ASSISTANT pack 1,200 €, to equip the Focus with all the latest technological systems for driving assistance. The CITY PREMIUM (500 €) offers semi-automatic parking system with sensors.
The FordProtect can increase the guarantee from two to five years, with a limit set at 100,000 km (750 €). For customers who wish to extend protection for another 50,000 Km and only to engine and gearbox, must pay 300 €. The new Ford Focus will be on sale from March.
