2012 Kia Picanto 3-door with a new range of trim levels

Kia Picanto with the bodywork 3-door is the new version of the Korean minicar that will be sold from September 1 in the United Kingdom. The new car, which was recently updated, shows  inevitably different side from that of the five-door version, but the updating of the new three-door Kia Picanto also relate to the larger front grille combined with a silver or red edge, the new bumper incorporates a larger air intake and fog lights with a big black frame, which give some sportiness to the 2012 Kia Picanto. The rear design of the Picanto 3-door stands out with a bumper with the center painted black and chrome dual exhaust outlet. The interior of the Kia Picanto 3-door has the same measures of the Picanto 5-door, but with specific customizations depending on the trim level.

New Kia 3-door can be chosen with one of four optional packs: Picanto 1, Picanto 1 Air, Halo and Equinox. Currently the available engines are two: the 0.998-liter three-cylinder 69-horsepower and 95 Nm of torque at 3,500 rpm and a 1,248-liter four-cylinder from 85-hp and 120 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm that can be combined , upon request, to the Start & Stop system, EcoDynamics and automatic transmission. According to the Korean carmaker, Kia Picanto 1.0-L 3-door gets 28.6 km/l and produces 99 g/ km of CO2. The Kia Picanto 1.2-L, however, can travel for 22.7 km/l with automatic transmission, 26.6 km/l with standard version and 27.9 km/l version EcoDynamics.

The car manufacturer has not released any information on possible marketing outside the UK. The expectations, however, are in favor of an extension of the marketing throughout Europe, where the segment A of the Kia Picanto should move 2.4 million cars in 2014 and is supposed to increase to nearly 3.3 million units in 2015. The Kia Picanto 3-door will certainly be presented at the next Frankfurt Motor Show.
