The G-class range-models.
Four models expected in the G-class line-up. In UK the off-roader will be sold only in two models. The British entry-level G350 BlueTec keeps the same 3.0-litre V6 engine combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy and performance numbers are unchanged at 211hp and 540Nm of torque. The powerful model G55 AMG has been substituted by the G63 AMG, which receive the the sturdy 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 from the CLS 63 AMG mated to standard stop/start system. The new engine provide the Mercedes G63 AMG 544bhp, 760Nm of torque from 2,000rpm and dropped emissions from 372g/km to 322g/km. With this power-unit fuel economy has slightly increased from 17.8mpg to 20.4mpg. On the exterior, buyers can opt for red brake calipers but as option.
One more important press though is the launch of a new and fast G65 AMG. The engine would be the twin-turbo charged 6.0-litre V12 with 621 bhp. In this case is claimed a 0-62mph in just 5.2sec.
