At the Korea Speed Festival, Hyundai unveiled Hyundai has unveiled first images of the 2013 Genesis Coupe, which will be officially launched at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show (9-22 January) This is the first redesign of the Korean rear-wheel-drive Coupe since the introduction of the Hyundai Coupe in October 2008 and at first glance it look very pleasing. The facelifted car should reach the Europe’s market next year as a 2013 Model Year.
The new Coupe gets a new front with a redesigned LED head-lights, a bold grille and better cooling performance. At the back the car also gets some nice updating with new LED tail lights.
The two engines that power the car have been enhanced. The already powerful 3.8-liter V6 has gained a boosting thanks to a new technology of Hyundai gasoline direct injection, a new turbine and as we said a better cooling system. What we know at the moment is the power of 355 hp and 400 Nm of torque, while performance’s data have not been yet disclosed. The base 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe gets the 2.0 TCI 4-cylinder turbo unit making 275 hp and 372 of torque. Alongside with the six-speed manual gearbox, is almost certain the offering of a new 8-speed automatic transmission for both versions.
