Volkswagen Golf GTI, the car intended to redefine the conception of sports sedan, celebrates 35 years with a special version called Golf GTI Edition 35. This celebrating work, already done in the past for the 20th and 30th anniversary, shows a less extreme design than the corresponding special edition of 2006.

MORE POWER: Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 stands out for some small aesthetic details like the logo “35” on the front wheel arches, on the front seats, on sill profiles and the use of new alloy wheels. The most important news concerns the 2.0 turbo TFSI engine which gets 235 horsepower, 24 hp more than current edition.

The new Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 35 will be presented to the public in the beginning of June during the annual GTI-Treffen Wörthersee (Austria), the international gathering the Golf GTI owners. The price in Germany will be € 30,425.
