Dodge unveils special Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket

Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket takes us back to 1970s.

Chrysler unveiled the special edition of a limited series of 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket, which just debut at this week’s Los Angeles Motor Show (18-27 November). This special design recalls the Challenger Convertible Yellow Jacket introduced in 1970, a single show car produced with gold bodywork.

The car impress with its absolutely striking paintjob, combining Stinger Yellow body tint with a black grille, black side’s stripes with Yellow Jacket logo on the rear and a new black 20-inch wheels. Looking at the interior, sticks out the leather seats with contrasting silver stitching accent and both SRT – Yellow Jacket logos on the backrest.

Compared to the 392 series, unfortunately no changes have been made to the performance. The V8 engine by 6.4-liter HEMI with 477 hp promises an acceleration sprint on the 0-100 in 4.6 seconds and a top speed of 285 Km/h. Among standard features this special Yellow jacket offers automatic climate control, electric adjustment with memory function to the driver’s seat and sports heated steering wheel.Nothing specific concerning production figures was announced, but what has been said is the fact that this SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket will have a limited production, with deliveries at showroom scheduled for next spring of 2012.
