At the Frankfurt Motor Show will be officially unveiled the Fiat Freemont AWD, the version with four-wheel drive (All-Wheel Drive) which joins the front-wheel drive version already on the range. The Fiat Freemont AWD will be marketed throuhout next October in two versions, one with the engine Fiat V6 2.0-liter turbo diesel with 170 horsepower and the V6 Pentastar 3.6 liter petrol with 280 hp, both matched with the six-speed automatic transmission by Chrysler.
The 2012 Fiat Freemont AWD delivers the drive torque to the rear wheels only when sensors detect a slippery ground, allowing the italian SUV to minimize the waste of fuel and without action on the transmission by the driver. The torque is transferred according to the ground conditions between 40 and 105 km/h , for istance addressing the torque to the rear wheels when driving on a curve.
In the Special occasion of the launch of the Fiat Freemont AWD, the italian car maker introduces a upgraded top equipment that includes leather’s interior, 19-inch light wheel, a navigation system with 8.4″ touch screen, the rear camera and chrome roof rails. The italian car manufacturer has not yet revealed any price list for the Freemont AWD and front-wheel drive.
