The luxurious Fisker Atlantic sedan, comes to satisfy the company’s aspirations to manufacture a electric four-door car that will challenge the famous BMW 5-series. The codenamed Fisker Nina comes after the first brand’s offering, The Fisker Karma (£80.000). Company chief, said that Karma experience was first to determine what the firm was all about. He affirmed that they wanted to be known as a premium car maker before launching a cheaper car that obviously will have a bigger production. The Fisker Atlantic will be on sale at £40.000.
This Plug-in Hybrid car looks like a smaller version of the Karma, with the same streamline, but with shorter overhangs. The well-done grille and headlights completes the nice look. Fisker assures that the 4-door car will be really special in particular on the inside with three trim levels to satisfy lovers of sports or luxurious cars. A convertible version of the Atlantic is scheduled for the future.
Fisker Atlantic, based on a new platform, will run thanks to a BMW engine which is more refined than the GM 2.0-litre turbo engine used the Karma. This was probably less compatible with Fisker’s luxury style and to acts as a power generator for the batteries.
The Atlantic is expected to go at dealers at the end of 2013.
