Hyundai Veloster Review, Specs, and Price of the Innovative Coupe

Hyundai Veloster New Sports Coupe.

 

The launch of the Hyundai Veloster arrived, after the first debut at the Detroit Auto Show and most recently at the Geneva show. The Korean sports coupe, which has only one engine and two equipment packages, refers to the concept  debuted in Frankfurt 2007. The Hyundai Veloster points on its most innovative feature, which is a large and single door on the left side and two on the right, in order to facilitate the passengers access to the rear seats. The difference from common coupe also lies in its size, 4.22 meters long and therefore shorter than direct competitors as Opel Astra, Peugeot RCZ, Megane Coupe or the VW Scirocco.

Only One Engine and Two Transmissions for The 2011 Hyundai Veloster.

Comfort and Sport are the available equipment for the new Hyundai Veloster, which features only a petrol 1.6-liter engine by 140 horsepower combined to a 6-speed manual transmission, while fuel consumption in the combined cycle is stated at 5.9 litres/100km. At the launch also will be available a version with a dual clutch 6-speed transmission DCT with steering wheel paddles and this will be the first time on a Hyundai car.

The Standard Equipment of The Hyundai Veloster.

The Hyundai Veloster 1.6 GDI Comfort has 6 airbags, ABS + EBD, TCS + ESP, active front headrests, HAC systems for hill starting and VSM which manage the balance of the asian coupe. The interior also features adjustable leather steering wheel, electric windows, automatic climate control, fog lights, radio with integrated 7 ” screen, CD + MP3 with steering wheel controls, AUX-USB. This unique sports coupe also features electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors. alarm with remote control, 17″ alloy wheels and tire pressure sensor (TPMS). Among optional extras of the Hyundai Veloster Comfort include ISG (Stop & Go), the smart card starting and the navigation system.

THe Hyundai Veloster 1.6 GDI Sport, which differs by a more young and sporty design, shows integrated colored inserts on the 18-inch alloy wheels, dedicated instrument panel, racing pedals, leather and fabric seats with adjustable position for the driver, Bluetooth, lights sensors and external mirrors with electrical closing. The Hyundai Veloster Sports also offers the optional extra panoramic electric roof.

The two versions of the Hyundai Veloster will be available for most European markets after summer, but they can be ordered already. The 1.6 GDI Comfort costs 21,700 euros, while the version Sport is sold at 23,300, the transmission DCT is offered as optional on all versions at 1,400 euros. All prices are calculated based on the average without local taxes. The Korean carmaker promises 5-year Warranty, road assistance and free car checks with the option of returning the Hyundai Veloster within a month with a full refund.
