Infiniti Etherea Concept

Infiniti has released first images of the Etherea, a concept car that luxury brand by Nissan will bring to the 2011 Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March). The Infiniti Etherea wants to be a turning point for the carmaker and get new customers thanks to a distinctly different profile from any other proposal currently on the market in the premium compact segment.

Designed under the direction of vice president for design, Shiro Nakamura, the Etherea should combine elements of coupe, sedan, hatchback and also the crossover, all in a shape almost similar to a MPV.  Indeed, identifying the exact category for this Infiniti Etherea is not so simple. The compact proportion of a sedan (the overall length is 4.4, m) are mixed with a descending beltline high enough like a coupe, while the solid rear is well suited to a small SUV.

For now, the Etherea is only a concept, but the luxury brand by Nissan says: you may see a future entry-level model like that.
