Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 fully made of carbon fiber

The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is the new V12-powered supercar built of carbon fiber in plants of Sant’Agata Bolognese (IT). The Aventador was one of the absolute queen of the Geneva Motor Show and its specifications are really impressive: 700 hp at 8,250 rpm and 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm, power to weight ratio of 2.25 kg/hp thanks to the total weight of 1575 kg, 0-100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and top speed exceeding 350 km/h. There are 800 units planned for production in 2011 and have already all been sold before the car was available at the dealership.

DESIGN: Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 measures 4.78 meters long, 2.26 wide and 1.14 meters high. As always, doors open gull-wing style. If you look at the front of the car resembles the Reventòn while behind the Estoque and Sesto Elemento, from top view looks like a bat. A new orange called Argos, redder than what we used has a special effect pearl. Another new color is gray Estoque, available along with three other opaque and metallic paint, for a total of 13 colors. The interior is leather, again with a wide choice of colors, even two-tone. The instrument panel is the main protagonist, consisting of an interactive LCD panel that shows the essential information to the driver, while a second display in the middle concerns functions of infotainment and navigation system.

PERFORMANCE AND TECHNICAL DETAILS: aerodynamics with its flat bottom is very elaborate and the self-adjusting spoiler exits from the body and tilts to 4 or 11 degrees to provide the necessary downforce in all driving conditions. Intakes and vents to ensure heat dissipation and, as the Murcielago, there are a couple on the rear wheel arches that open only when needed. Top speed, according to Lamborghini, is 350 km/h and from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds. The combined fuel consumption are 17.2 liters per 100 km.

PRICES: € 255,000 on average, excluding taxes, for Europe. If properly customized might need more than 300,000 € to buy a Aventador LP700-4. The market starts from late summer 2011.
