Alfa Romeo presents the new Alfa TCT transmission technology developed by Fiat Powertrain Technologies under BorgWarner’s supervision, the first model is the MiTo shown at Paris during the show of these days (2-17 October). The new transmission is a 6-speed, dry running, the new TCT operates in symbiosis with the Start & Stop system to reduce consumption, increase efficiency and make driving more effective.
Alfa MiTo 1.4 TB 135 bhp MULTI (TCT Technology)
The MiTo is equipped with the Alfa TCT 6-speed transmission that combines four technologies in a single version: the first version with the innovation will be the 1.4 MultiAir Turbo-petrol 135 hp equipped with the “Start & Stop”, which temporarily stops the engine when resting and the “Alfa DNA” that changes the car settings and acts on the behavior of the trasmission. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is 8.2 seconds, fuel consumption is stated in the combined cycle at 7.1 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions values amounted to 126 g/km.

The new Alfa TCT transmission is now available with pack equipment ‘Progression’ and ‘Distinctive’ (respectively 19,000* 20,500* euro). From end of September will also have version BlackLine Collection at 20.100* euro. Soon, the TCT will be available on the Alfa Giulietta. (* Compared with average prices in Europe)
