New Mercedes concept shows the future A-Class

The new Mercedes A-Class changes its “dress” completely, this is a concept which will be presented tomorrow at the Shanghai Motor Show and until April 28 to anticipate the production car, expected next year. The A-Class is no longer a compact MPV designed especially for women, but it becomes a three-door coupe with a sleek and sporty design , also devoted to a more male audience as well as to young people.

DESIGN: at first glance, the Mercedes A-Class concept recalls latest models of the German automaker as the CLS, the SLS AMG, and for some details even the SLK. The big star at the front is now a typical style of recent Mercedes vehicles. Several LED lights and 90 optical fiber elements features the daytime running lights.

TECHNICAL DETAILS: The prototype has front-wheel drive, using the dual-clutch automatic transmission combined with the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline direct injection 210 hp,  transversely fitted on the nwe chassy which will generate at least four compact models of Mercedes in the coming years . Another important change concerns, according to rumors, a very sporty AMG version for the first time of a A-Class. The future Mercedes A-Class will probably uses a radar warning system against collision, built-in the Adaptive Brake Assist, a news for this class of vehicles that could give way to new developments in terms of safety in the segment of compact cars.
