PAGANI HUAYRA wind’s daughter hypercar

New Pagani Huayra , the 700-hp supercar successor to Zonda, just debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.
The Huayra is a car that has about 4,000 components (excluding the engine and gearbox) and is also the first car in the world with fully active aerodynamics: it has four flaps on the ends, controlled by an ECU that reads angles yaw rate, lateral forces, the brake pressure, steering angle. The controller is then able to understand the car’s situation found and based on that, changes the height of the car front and working with these flaps.

The new creature, as written by Horacio Pagani himself, has been meticulously planned over seven years and designed with in mind a definite source of inspiration: the air. Pagani Huayra, which is 4,605 mm long, 2036 mm wide and 1169 mm high, shows bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights that comes from the Zonda R. The choice of the gull-wing doors that integrate much of the roof are an entirely new solution, while the body, as is traditional at home Pagani, is carbon and titanium, with many details in aluminum and lightweight materials. The Huayra proposes the multifunction steering wheel with paddle shift, bucket seats with an eye to comfort. To be loved from fan is the mechanism of the shift lever fully exposed and which allows you to see the sequential gearbox movement.

The twin-turbo V12 is still by Mercedes with 5980 cc specially developed by AMG to deliver more than 700 hp and 1,000 Nm. Performance are simply awesome, though not yet official, it’s for sure the 375 km/h top speed and a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h estimated at just over three seconds.

No price has been yet announced for this exclusive Pagani Huayra, but easily it will be over one million euro.
