Peugeot HX1 Concept with clever design.
The French auto maker
has released
a couple of
visuals
of its Peugeot HX1 Concept, just ahead of the vehicle’s
world debut
at 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. The design of the innovative MPV shows a very low balance within the fact that it is possible to seat up to six adults
while keeping
a remarkably
low drag coefficient: just 0.28. Those numbers were achieved thanks to
a few clever design strategies
such as
some particular side skirt and spoiler work as well as the clever wheel blades system that open up to create
a flat
area

The original half-scissor system for opening doors are hinged at the ends and lift up when rotating. It’s not a surprise that the concept can operate in all-electric mode for about 30 km, the Peugeot HX1 Concept gets
its power from a plug-in hybrid system. The front wheels are pushed from a 204-hp 2.4-liter turbo-diesel engine, while an electric motor
takes care of the rear axle. At the end the Peugeot HX1 Concept produces
