Suzuki presented the Concept Kizashi EcoCharge and made its world premiere at New York Motor Show, a concept car based on midsize-sedan Kizashi.

The design shows the white opaque body with a thin layer of blue, and stand in the front with blue LED headlights and integrated fog lamps. Kizashi Concept EcoCharge is powered by a petrol 4-cylinder 2.0-liter by 144 hp, combined to the 20-hp electric motor liquid-cooled, which is powered by a lithium-ion battery pack. Suzuki has designed this prototype taking into account the environmental pollution, all the processing materials used required less energy by 84% than a conventional production and CO2 emissions below 80%.

Suzuki Concept EcoCharge adopts all advanced systems to optimize energy consumption, among these, the most important are the regenerative braking, stop-start and low rolling resistance tires. The automaker did not disclose further official information but declares 25% improvement of highway mileage, which is the worst condition for hybrid car efficiency.
