The Volvo S60 Performance Project is the latest evolution of the version R-Design T6 , produced as a show car by the Australian branch of the firm of Gothenburg. The operation Performance Project involved both a motor and chassis upgrade, thanks to Volvo’s engineers together with the contribution of its racing division Polestar and German body specialist Heico Sportiv.
The engine has been revised with a work on the ECU and the exhaust system with dual outputs, while the balance of the Volvo S60 Performance Project has been modified with suspension stiffened by 15%, special rear shock absorbers and a 15mm of height reduction from the ground . To complete the upgrading package, they have fitted 19″ alloy wheels combined with Pirelli tyres. In terms of performance, the Volvo S60 Performance Project receives a 22% of power increasing compared to the R-Design T6: total of 329 hp and 480 Nm of torque.
As fo interior, the car trim remains the same of the origin version plus sports seats and steering wheel with leather covering and contrast stitching. The Swedish carmaker did not say whether the Volvo S60 Performance Project will stay just a show car or have a special limited edition, perhaps intended only for the Australian market.
