Nissan has just unveiled, at the 2011 Shanghai Motor Show 2011, the new Tiida, which is the best-selling car of the Japanese manufacturer: in 2010 85,000 units sold in the Chinese market. Just in 2005, the Nissan Tiida was the first turbocharged car to be sold in China (by Dongfeng Motor) and is currently the most successful model of the entire Nissan range, which sells in 165 countries.
The Tiida shows a beautiful design, proportionate and balanced, made ββto be appreciated in any market. The interior space has been improved by lengthening the wheelbase of 10 cm over the previous model and the interiors features soft seats padding. Nissan has not released specifications for the new model, but it can be supposed that the Tiida Turbo uses the engine’s Juke 1.6 DIG-T 190 hp. The HR16DE aspirated engine, already used on many cars in the Nissan range, adopts dual injector per cylinder to cut emissions and is combined to a continuously variable automatic transmission CVT.
The new generation Tiida will go on sale in China from May to arrive later on other 130 markets by 2014 and probably as Versa.
