The new Kia Picanto will be presented at the next Geneva Motor Show (3-11 March), replacing the current version, on the market since six years and now available as both 3 and 5-door. The new Kia Picanto has been completely redone with new design and style respecting the new progress of the Korean carmaker. First photos show a small and very modern city car especially if compare to the current model, particularly in the front, where, the design director Peter Schreyer has made similar to the larger Optima and Sportage.
NOW BIGGER: has grown both in length and in step, both measures that reflect positively on the suitability. “It has sculpted shapes and a strong personality” said the Kia head designer, Peter Schreyer, and added: “the alternation of lights and shades breaks the vertical development and gives the car a slender appearance”. The little Picantcomes with a new alloy wheel design, new headlights and a front pronounced bumper.
The new Kia Picanto for the first time, is also proposed with a 3-door body, and according to initial leaks, the three-door Picanto should arrive in Europe. The new Picanto will have petrol engines of 1.0 and 1.2 liters, with also the chance to be powered by LPG. The new Kia will be officially presented at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, scheduled from 13 to 3 March 2011.
